To survive your own war, you need to be inspired.
Feeling unsettled is what makes us as artists uneasy, but it’s that mere thought that makes me push harder, breathe faster and want more in life. I want to show the world what I can capture – beauty, emotions, dreams.. these are all things we strive for in life and we can’t live without one or the other.
Our thoughts and emotions control our life. We are constantly searching for better, to make ourselves better, to control everything around us – yet reality gets in the way of dreams. Life is a constant echo of what we had and lost. Memories exist to keep us human; to remember is as much as it is to forget. We lose touch with ourselves and are so keen to move on but memories keep us grounded, unsolved and help us remember who we are and where we came from. My photography enables me to capture memories, milestones; whether in fashion, style or age. (Lara Jade, 2010)"

Inspirez
I want to share an article I found on Lara Jade's blog [link]
"I’ve always been a dreamer.
Photography enables me to capture the world how I dreamed it would be as a child. Through that viewfinder I can capture anything. Open your mind and realize that (most often) rectangle can capture anything you want, if you frame it in THAT space. How amazing is that thought?
‘Art’ frustrated me from a young age. I’d paint and draw but I would always feel restricted, I longed to find MY way of sharing my creativity. Art as a subject was very concise, you had to paint in a certain way of it to be correct, my grades were often low on my art because I’d try and create something unique – most often to please myself, but to rebel against what the teacher wanted me to do. Seeing everyone in my classroom painting the same Van Gogh style vase with wilting flowers drained my creativity.
I have always followed my dreams, sometimes it’s bad to chase your young ideality but from an early age I knew what I wanted. School depressed me, I was bullied for being different. I dyed my hair dark at an early age, wore dark make up and over-sized clothes, i desperately did not want to fit in so I rebelled against everything i knew. I thought differently. I wouldn’t attend academic classes because I didn’t feel like I understood or even so wanted to understand. I’d question everything in my head.
In the end my teachers would accept I was working on my photography and I’d wander to the computer rooms instead of class to browse inspiring art or to retouch my work.
My escape from reality in turn was always through my photography.
On the day I picked up my first camera, I realized it wad a door to many things. It instantly clicked.
Dreams are meant to be followed if you want to fulfill your life. My nightmare scenario would be to be too comfortable with life. Don’t get me wrong I truly admire those that can work 9-5 routine jobs and live happily in small towns with a family. However, for me that would be a living nightmare, I’d feel very trapped and lifeless. At seventeen, I lived that life for a brief period of time, I realized instantly it wasn’t for me. I am not the type of person to be tied down and constrained, I long to be free. You only live one life: In my life, I want to make an inspiring journey.
I have been greatly inspired by ‘The Law If Attraction’. If you live by the thought that your positivity and energy is in turn bringing you more of this, you WILL see results.
“Anything in your life you want to change, you can — simply by understanding the Law of Attraction, and choosing to deliberately change your thoughts and constantly reach for the thought that feels better. The way you predominantly feel about any given subject is your barometer for knowing what your balance of thought is on that subject. The circumstances of your life is another indicator. If you’re ever wondering which end of the barometer your thoughts are on, check in with your emotions. Your emotions never lie about the way you are flowing your energy” – http://www.law-of-attraction-info.com/
I have only lived twenty years, but in the last quarter of my life I have discovered so much about myself. People have entered and left my life, I’ve had a near death experience, I’ve loved and lost, I am very spontaneous (a Leo trait), this means I often jump into things very quickly and without much though – and when things go wrong I learn the hard way. However, through all experiences I have been taught something good or bad and ultimately this has took me further up the path towards my ultimate goal. I have let go of negative energy by teaching myself to think about every experience as a learning curve, every experience has shaped me in my life someway and without this, I might not be who I am or where I am today. In the past three months.
If you want something in life, reach out and grab it. That star might be far away, but take little steps gradually towards it. You may be restricted by finances or commitments but everyday question yourself and say ‘have I done something towards my goal today?’.
Remember, follow your dreams and in return they will follow you."
Very true. I wish I'm like her =\

As usual, my report on old news: 05.01.2010: Tokio Hotel
Things were finally shaping up as the twins Tom and Bill Kaulitz (lead guitarist & vocals), Georg Listing (bassist) and Gustav Schfer (drummer) greeted the media with mischievous smiles plastered on their baby faces (except for Gustav who looks shy and emotionally unbalanced), all eyes were on this pop rock band as they were escorted by a handful of people – humourless bodyguards, translator, marketing personnel, publicist etc.
If Germany was an epic album it would undeniably be Tokio Hotel’s record. These are one of many things you will not find in a tourist guide. The band first caught the audience's attention in Magdeburg with their original name Devilish in 2001. Two years later they generated music producer Peter Hoffmann’s interest and landed a deal with Universal Music. The German band then ditched the moniker for Tokio Hotel.
The response was instant. By 2007, the band was invited by the French President to perform at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in front of 600,000 people. “It was cool for us to be successful in Germany. It was so surprising for everyone,” said Bill. It has been a meteoric rise to international fame after winning their first Best New Artist at the VMA 2008 (USA). Bill claimed that their international success came as a shocking surprise.
“Someone told me in five years we will go to Asia, it is never ever!” Bill admitted. Nevertheless the past few weeks of promotion for their pre-concert and latest album Humanoid may have left them overwhelmed by an intense level of fandom. He added, “I really like it when the first time you see the fans; it is always a magical moment. For us, it is really surprising that we have so many fans here and no one expected that.”
The four-piece were armed with a crazy sense of humour and sex loving attitude. “We don’t really like healthy food! I like fried vegetables!” Tom laughs. Just like gravity, I was drawn to the twins’ most unnerving eyes; they were dark and piercing at the same time. Not forgetting Bill’s aggressive upright Mohawk paired with his flawless make up and enviable bone structure. It was all just mesmerizing.
It has been said that good things come to those who wait, that proverb couldn’t be more appropriate. The concert got off to a rainy start at Central Park Avenue, 1 Utama. Despite the crappy weather, they manage to put on a brilliant show. It was absolutely mind-blowing-jaw-dropping. The crowd was stuck in a tight sexy kind of German sauna and I was sucked in by the unique hardcore aural these boys delivered. Thanks to Universal Music Malaysia, TM Group and Janey, it was a good way to kick start my last unemployed-holiday! The boys will be back in town for a concert with MTV, things will definitely going to be smoking hot!

Boys I like.

[Sorry, I forgot all the links. Please find it on Flickr)
Lets not forget the drummer, Gustav! One drinks to forget, a smoke to blur the vision and a pill to numb the pain. I attend a concert and start work.

Il pleut, il mouille. Ma vie est vachement trop compliquée.
When I really want to get myself a special gift, I get myself old magazines. I love everything about them. The style, photos, the smell of old paper, the crazy creativity, the absence of cynicism... Oftentimes with clumsiness, always with seriousness and tons of joy." Publié par Garance Doré

3. Few days ago Kathryn posted the UTS prom pictures and video, and I decided to go looking for the pictures. Sadly, I think I deleted the whole folder when I was in the States.
These pictures were the long lost ones that I found and some from Jamie and Kathryn8 bottles, for I think 10-12 people and we had 2 rooms, but ended up having everyone in one room. Memories.
